Amelia Fang and the Memory Thief!

First of all, I am not going to make any jokes or puns about memory loss in this blog post. I am better than that... or am I? I can't remem- never mind.

So, it's been a while. I have still been reading, of course (most notably the Harry Potter series!!), but time seemed to slip away and suddenly it's November? And it was Halloween a few days ago, too! Spooky. Speaking of all things spooooooooooky, without further adieu..........

YOUR FAVOURITE MINI VAMPIRE IS BACK IN THE BIZ!

The quality of this photo is positively ghastly.

With her pals by her side (for some of it, but not spoilers...!), Amelia once again shows us that tenacity and fearlessness which makes us all love her so much. When it seems like everyone else around her has forgotten not only who she is, but who they are, it is down to Amelia (with a side helping of our favourite vampire-fairy hybrid prince, Tangine!!) to get to the bottom of this before she forgets herself! Will she be able to do it...?

You can expect all the unique and exclusive little details from the previous books of the series in Laura Ellen Anderson's third Amelia Fang instalment. The hilarious inversions are all still the same, but somehow vamped up a little, if you'll pardon the pun: we still have fun, gothic vocabulary such as "darkling" and "birthnight", but with additional terms such as "global cooling" and "silly sausage-skin" (a personal favourite). Anderson's illustrations are as amazing as ever, and I believe you can now learn how to draw your own Squashy, thanks to the genius herself. Click here!

The return of Wooo is a personal favourite of mine, and although it was a brief reunion, I am satisfied... for now. I am ready for Laura Ellen Anderson to take all my money so she can write and illustrate a Wooo spin-off story where the bad-ass ghost-butler inevitably solves crime in his spare time. I've joked about this briefly in my last two Amelia Fang posts, but this is getting serious now. For realsies. Make it happen, Anderson. And you Egmont.

Another stellar instalment to this amazing series, with excellent opportunities for young chapter readers to advance their vocabulary and imagine a world different to ours in many ways, but quite similar in some ways too.
Look at this lil pumpkin. Absolute babe.

Moral of the story: always be nice to your parents or guardians because one day you may eat a cookie and forget them.

BUTTON RATING:
(Obviously)
I am, of course, looking forward to Amelia Fang and the Half Moon Holiday (like half term??) with yellow edges (!!), expected in March next year. Far too long to wait, in my opinion. Boo-hiss-boo!!

Bye x

You can buy Amelia Fang and the Memory Thief at Waterstones, Amazon or W.H.Smith, or walk into your local bookshop and show them some love!
